Distance: 6.8 miles (loop)

Walking time: 7 1/2 hours

Elevations: 3,680 ft. gain/loss
     Trailhead: 7,140 ft.

Vicinity: Mill Creek Canyon

Driving Distance: 9 miles from Salt Lake City

Season: Summer through mid-fall. The upper parts of the trail are usually covered with snow from late November through mid-July.

Maps: Mount Aire (USGS)

Other: Strenuous hike with significant elevation gain.
    Part of the trail is in the Mount Olympus Wilderness Area.
    A fee of $3.00/car is charged for access to Mill Creek Canyon.
     Upper Mill Creek is closed to cars from November 1 to July 1 (the gate is located 3.0 miles below trailhead).
    Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed on even numbered days.
